015-Time for Serious Levity Quatrieme Fois

Well, maybe this isn’t levity, but it’s serious and perhaps uplifting.

Here’s what I propose: click, then  listen, attend, recognize, & record your responses. Suffice it to say that I’ve been a big fan of the The Who since I was in high school. I modeled some of my guitar playing after Pete Townsend. I crafted most of my songs, even the quiet ones (!), to express the drive & intensity I have always found in their music. That’s a brief overview.

Roger Daltry     Pete Townsend

Tomorrow, I plan to reflect on this particular song and share some of what it has meant and what it means to me now.

Today, however, is for you! What’s your experience of this piece in particular?

  1. Oh my!! I have loved this piece for years ( probably as many as you – I think we are in the same age area) a loved the entire opera “Tommy” – but it has taken on another dimension since I now have an autistic grandson. I see many parallels even though the disabilities are different!

  2. Thanks, Linda, yeah, it’s a great piece, eh? We probably are from the same era, too.
And thanks for sharing about your grandson. May I share this in the comment I want to post today? God bless you and your grandson greatly! –roc,sj
