Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is One! And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength!
And your neighbor as yourself
Part One – Overview: Moses proposes this commandment. Our responses to it disclose processes taking place in our inner lives. It then becomes possible that the Divine Physician diagnoses our spiritual illnesses.
We have only one way to love, not several. Loving God, self, and others comes from one font – each of our hearts – with all the attendant freedom and burdens we carry.
