Announcing… The Last Waltz of the SLJs
As of this afternoon, John Foley, SJ, Bob Dufford, SJ, Dan Schutte, Roc O’Connor, SJ, and Tim Manion have agreed to gather in St. Louis for one last concert to celebrate our association over these past decades.
Tom Kavanaugh & Roc will produce the concert whose date has yet to be determined. Tom, along with his wife, Maureen, has composed & performed original Irish music for decades. He is the brother of the late John Kavanaugh, SJ who contributed wonderful liturgical songs to Neither Silver Nor Gold.
The site will be in St. Louis, Missouri. Tom & Roc will determine venue and date.
Please keep in touch to learn time, date, and place.
PS: I just threw this poster together today. We actually have no official title for the concert. I welcome your suggestions to give an appropriate title for this gathering.

Roc, I’m genuinely excited.
How about “Silver to Gold – 50 years of Memorable Music”?

Yeah, that’s a good idea, Roy. I’ll eventually forward ideas to the guys to choose. Following the great movie, I do like “The Last Waltz.” Thanks!

Yeah, I know. But with Foley turning 80 next summer and unwilling to travel outside of St. Louis, I think we’ had our run.
Hope you can make it, Lisa. Blessings to you and continued prayers for Madam President. –roc,sj
