Roc Homily – Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ 2015
Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ 2015 (6:00 p.m. Mass)
Homily by Roc O’Connor, SJ, associate pastor of the Church of the Gesu (June 7, 2015)
Mark 14:23-25 “Take it; this is my body.” Then he took a cup, gave thanks, and gave it to them, and they all drank from it. He said to them, “This is my blood of the covenant, which will be shed for many. Amen, I say to you, I shall not drink again the fruit of the vine until the day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God.”

Today’s reading sums it up for me: “You are being enriched in every way for all generosity,
which through us produces thanksgiving to God.” Thank you for your words of grace, sharing in the Covenant, and being filled with gratitude. Happy to see you are back!
