The Year of Mercy – A One Hundred Word Retreat 7
Here’s a thought:
God is mercy. Jesus Christ is the face of Mercy for all. Through the Holy Spirit and baptism, we enter into relationship with God through Christ’s dying and rising.
That’s theology.
What does it have to do with anything? Why should I have to seek Mercy in Bethlehem in some barn?
Problem is, God seems to want to meet you and me where we are, not where we want to be or pretend to be.
And that complicates things. God seems to want all of us, not just the portrait we sanction.
And there’s the rub.
