“Remember, you are dust…” [8]

My life as the Black Knight…

I have crashed into the unyielding rocks of mortality repeatedly since my friend, Gerry Stockhausen, SJ died about 6 weeks ago.  I’m not going to go into it all, but here was the latest:  My hard drive failed last Wednesday… No back-up… A local data recovery business is looking into retrieving whatever they can find.

On the one hand, I’m replete with angst… AAAARRRRGGGGHHH!!!  On the other hand, I soldier on, denying the likelihood that a ton of my “legacy” bit the dust.  “It’s only a flesh wound…”  So, I declare today = officially = BLACK KNIGHT MONDAY for all of us who believe we are invincible!!!

Yeah, I remember I am dust, but only for a moment, then lapse into my illusion of invincibility… You?

So, if you are a fan of Monty Python, you know what’s coming your way.

However, if  you don’t know anything about “The Holy Grail,” you’re in for lots of fake blood, absurdity, & truth as best revealed through humor.  Happy BKM!
