50 years a Jesuit – Video reflection #6: Vocation within a Vocation (C)

It’s funny.  I learned to be an adequate lector.  I felt terrified of teaching, of standing up in front of others to teach.  Yet… From the very first time I preached, almost 40 years ago, I felt I had something to say to the people of God.  Go figure.  I taught Eucharist & Sacraments for 11 years at Creighton University and  felt good about my interactions with students and the material.  But, have been completely allergic to writing.

Until I turned 50 (studying at The Catholic University of America – MA in Liturgical Studies), I felt I had little to say to put in print or digital media.  Things changed then.  Here’s a story or two about that.  Blessings! –roc,sj
