Here’s a late post of the audio version of my homily from last week. It sums up the studies of the past week and sets the stage for THIS Sunday’s polemic on hypocrisy of the scribes & Pharisees.
Matthew seems to recognize how our divided hearts affect both the way we live and the ways we are geared to look at ourselves as “basically good people… At least I haven’t…” How might this open doors to meditate on Jesus’ attack on the leaders of the People of God?
