Fr. John P. Schlegel, SJ has served as pastor of the Church of the Gesu, Milwaukee, WI., since June 22, 2014. He was diagnosed with inoperable pancreatic cancer in mid-January. I believe a whole bunch of his homilies are worth hearing and so I will post them as I can. John’s deep commitment to the arts, politics, and service to the poor come though strongly. Blessings! –roc,sj

I am so very grateful to have these inspiring words from Fr. John to reflect upon. Thank you, Fr. ROC, for making these homilies available to those of us who pray at a different weekend Mass. They are truly a great grace for helping us through our Lenten journey.

    • Thanks much, Ruth. I’m delighted to post these homilies. John’s been on a roll here for, well, a long time! These months I’ve been at Gesu I’ve found these been among his best. Blessings! Repent today… get it over with! –roc,sj
