Mary Rose plopped into the driver’s seat exhausted. “How long have I been shopping today? Egad!” She closed her eyes; put her head back. “It’s a hamster wheel, that’s what Christmas is. Yeah, I want my family to feel wanted and loved, but this year… What is it all about? I run from this to that and back again. St. Martha, pray for us… pray for me!”

“OK, get on your game face. What’s next? Dry cleaning… and that present for Richard’s ‘I’ve-got-everything-I-need’ brother … Eggnog! Don’t forget Eggnog!”

She laughed. “Remember grandma falling down the basement stairs! HA!!” She hit PLAY.
